What is it about?

Families who run businesses in rural areas are often part of networks where family, friendship and business networks intertwine. When studying business networks, therefore, an approach that looks at all three dimensions of networks is useful. This is an aspect worth considering when business networks are being promoted by, for example, business support agencies.
