What is it about?

A school is a complex system consisting of multiple levels from the school leaders to the departments to the teachers and the classrooms. Leading from the middle is a useful concept as it expands leadership beyond the few people in senior management and suggests that we can influence people above us in the organisation hierarchy, not just people who are lower than us in the organisation hierarchy.
