The purpose of this paper is to show how the strategic selection of discursive and interactive strategies generates specific framings of an issue to advocate opposite positions, embodying a struggle of power between parties with their own agendas.

This article allows to get a deeper insight into the dynamic character of framing. It shows how framing can vary and compete across actors and also at the level of the same hypertext.

Perspectives

We consider that the explanatory work done for the systematic understanding of specific discursive and interactive strategies can be of practical value to corporate and non-corporate practitioners in their endeavors to manage effective communication strategies by framing various issues strategically in discussion arenas.
