Why is it important?

Many purchasing leaders glorify collaboration in their speech, but fail to implement a culture that favors capture of the benefits of its collaboration. This article is important because it takes a practical look at the organizational issues that prevent effective use of the resources outside the firm to enhance competitive position.

Perspectives

After 20 years in purchasing, I took an engaged scholarship approach to leverage my expertise with a structured academic research, grounded both in empirical observations and rigorous research.
