What is it about?
This empirical paper examines the experience of workplace spirituality among a sample of teachers, and attempts to understand it's influence of their work-family conflict and intention to stay with the organization. Teaching is a profession that is seen as a calling and it is argued that when teachers are able to experience spirituality at their workplace, they will be intrinsically motivated and hence will experience lower work-family conflict and higher intention to stay with the organization. Reflections of the results based on self-determination theory of intrinsic motivation and its implications are discussed in detail.
