What is it about?

The author of the paper analyzes the invisible mechanism of open data politics to boost public sector innovations and, most importantly, new socioeconomic and networking trends among various stakeholders of the open government movement, e.g. policymakers, non-governmental players, businesses, independent developers, mass media and active citizens in such transitional society as Kazakhstan. In this regard, the multiple field studies conducted in 2015-2016 at various institutional levels of government in this country provided a rich empirical data for the analysis.
