What is it about?

Trajectory trend of armed conflict in ECOWAS sub-region has serious implications on socio-economic indicators. It has seriously affected rural source of livelihood and agricultural activities because of the peculair characteristics of the conflict in the sub-region, such as ocuupying terrorities.

Why is it important?

Combating increasing poverty and inequality in Africa would involve descalating armed conflict. A study that clarifies our understanding in this regard is extremely important in designing poverty alleviation policies

Perspectives

Having this paper published was a great pleasure and the enormous insight by my co-authors were quite revealing. This article examines an important aspect of poverty alleviating policies usually neglected in extant literature.
