What is it about?

Integrating manufacturing processes with reverse logistics practices towards sustainability performance is complex and challenging. Based on a holistic approach of framework and empirical investigation, the study developed a plan showing how integrated manufacturing and reverse logistics practices can support sustainability performance. It found that recycling, reusing, and refurbishing materials are the most important areas to focus on to improve both environmental and economic outcomes. It also showed that many of these practices already make good use of advanced technology to support safer and better working conditions for employees.
