What is it about?
It is about the link between canadian firms' political connections, ownership structure and quality of corporate governance. The question is : does ownership structure play a moderating or mediating role between firms' political connections and their governance quality?

Why is it important?
Canadian firms are mostly concentrated ownership structure. While it is known that political connections influence corporate governance quality, this is very important, in the Canadian context, to investigate the difference between concentrated and dispersed ownership structure companies.
Perspectives
In all my research works about firms' political connections, I privilege sociological perspectives rather than (or with) economic and managerial theories. I think that it is important to combine different perspectives in order to have more comprehensive point of view.
