What is it about?

This paper determines the wages of White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, Native American, and “other race” women and men in the United States if these 12 groups had been equal in terms of education, age, immigration profile, and other relevant characteristics. We extend comparisons beyond those of women and men of the same race (or the various races within a given gender), bringing a visually clear representation of the situation of our 12 gender–race/ethnicity groups simultaneously.
