Proceedings of the annual meetings of the association for information science and technology: analysis of two decades of published research

What is it about?

Using bibliometrics, we analyzed two decades of the ASIS&T conference proceedings to discover trends. We looked at the publications, authorship, collaborations, citations, countries, and research topics. We found that joint authorship and international collaboration have been increasing. Most authors are from the US, following by Canada and China. Social media and information behavior are the top-researched areas.
