What is it about?

The results suggest that to improve the retention of employees, an organisation needs to build in retention strategies into their recruitment processess when choosing new staff as well as having specific on-job retention strategies policies for existing staff. The organisation's policies and strategies should be co-ordinated and supportive and linked to job and organizational strategies, activities and practices. However, the employees' perception of organizational support and of the support of their supervisor is important since these two forms of perceived support exert notable influence on the relationship.
