What is it about?

To present the individuality and idiosyncrasy of skilled migrants' careers influenced by different elements at different units of analysis, this paper extends the intelligent career framework to the macro, meso and micro levels. This multi-level intelligent career framework is validated by an empirical study, showing how factors at different levels (macro/country, meso/organisational/professional and micro/individual), and their combinations influence skilled migrants' career opportunities and choices. Moreover, skilled migrants' agentical negotiation of the different career-influencing elements at the different levels highlights the heterogeneity of skilled migrants' careers across time and circumstances.
