What is it about?
Allotments can improve mental and physical health as well as being somewhere that people grow food. We asked people who have allotments to fill out a diary for us for a year. They wrote notes about the impact of allotment gardening on their lives. We found that allotment gardeners benefit from having their plot in terms of physical health, mental health, social connections with other people, and connection to nature and the wider environment.
