What is it about?

Urban design researchers encounter challenges in understanding how context—such as time, history, and society—shapes written materials. To address this, a brainstorming session with 15 researchers and a review of 49 studies were conducted to develop a five-step context-text analytical procedures. These procedures helps early-career researchers interpret complex texts and demonstrates how context influences meaning, thereby supporting the writing and evaluation of urban design literature.
