What is it about?

The importance of risk committee is often ignored or questioned by the professionals and academic research. We argue and evidence that the separation of audit and risk committee improves internal control systems and increase financial reporting quality. Also, our findings suggest that risk committee demands higher monitoring which results in more audit effort and audit fees. Findings of this research suggests the beneficial effect of risk committees.
