Why is it important?
This is a comprehensive investigation of the UK accounting industry's efforts to consider social mobility within their recruitment practices. It interviews all Big Four firms and 15mid-tier firms (including all those ranked from 5 to 11 by fee income).
Perspectives
The work complements my previous investigations into the accounting profession's approach to disability and (corporate) social responsibility. The accounting industry as the largest recruiter of graduate talent has a key role in determining the success of the social mobility agenda.
