What is it about?

Assembly planning and design using augmented reality.

Why is it important?

Allows intuitive user feedbacks and interactions during the product design and assembly process via an augmented reality interface.

Perspectives

It is important to consider physical, spatial and temporal factors in product design and assembly planning. An augmented reality environment allows the designers and engineers to view virtual content with real physical objects in the real environment; thus, designers and engineers can assess their design with respect to real constraints.
