What is it about?

The aim of this article is to contribute to this debate by proposing the concept of ‘biographical transition’ as an alternative approach to understanding how (paid) work and other life domains interweave. We shall examine in particular biographical transitions between work and non-work, seeking to understand the positionings enacted by men and women in order to disentangle work conditions and the quality of private life.
