Why is it important?

The strive to successfully manage Quality has been around for centuries. Some have succeeded, most have not. One reason for falling flat is the inability of managers and engineers to share the same agenda. This paper sets the stage for dialogue and co-creation in order to facilitate organizational efforts to manage Quality.

Perspectives

It was a great pleasure to interlace historical developments in QM with present day challenges and opportunities. Hopefully a better understanding of these issues can be of practical use for both academics and practitioners in QM and related fields.
