What is it about?
Tasks in health care teams are complex and difficult to accomplish with traditional leadership styles; thus, team leaders share their leadership power among team members in the decision-making process. Knowledge sharing in teams improves decision-making, which leads to improved team performance. Psychological safety serves as a mediator in the relationship between shared leadership and team performance.

Why is it important?
It is helpful to consider the existing literature on leadership in pharmaceutical teams. In this article, a critical analysis of the relative lack of research in this area is followed by the proposal that shared leadership in both conceptual and technological systems design is appropriate to encourage creativity in the pharmaceutical sales teams . Theoretical reflections are based on several years of empirical work.
