What is it about?

Alec studied medicine at the University of Paris VII and came to cardiology almost by chance after he was handed a rotation in psychiatry based on the alphabetical order of surnames. Why is it important?

French interventionalist Alec Vahanian is best known for his expertise in valvular heart disease and percutaneous valve interventions

He is a firm believer in the ‘integrative approach’ which considers patient history, clinical data, visual examination and imaging as well as what the patient feels about their condition. This is refreshing and something all aspiring doctors would do well to note.
