Why is it important?
The composite films can be prepared by a simple mixing of a commercially available water-dispersion of a conducting polymer (PEDOT-PSS) and a silica-precursor (TEOS). Such a simple method is the most important point from the viewpoint of its industrial application.
Perspectives
The composite film was originally prepared for the application to the transparent conductive films, but this film can be applied to other purposes due to the absorption of the light of NIR light region.
