What is it about?

The paper outlines a number of ways to use cylindrical lenses for optics experiments and demonstrations. We provide plenty of experiments and go quite deeply in the theory.

Why is it important?

This paper gives a way to conduct optics demonstrations with basic glasses of water thus making it possible to conduct actual physics experiments even in severely under-equipped schools.

Perspectives

This paper is really more like a collection of papers. It could've easily been "salami-sliced" to produce 3 or 4 different papers, making the bureaucratic side of my life quite a bit easier. Then again, publishing such a thorough work is very personally satisfying, bureaucrats and quotas be damned.
