What is it about?
The study examined the mobilisation of stool land revenue for the development of communities in the Wassa Fiase traditional area in the Western Region of Ghana. It was revealed that the land tenure system in the area was constrained with a lot of governance issues which was affecting the revenue coming from the land.

Why is it important?
The mobilisation of stool land revenue was constraints with inadequate staff, reliance on manual records and lack of cooperation from some chiefs. There was also the opportunity for the mobilisation of more revenue; many sources of revenue to be mobilised, the availability of records of land transactions and the opportunity to carry out public education and sensitization
Perspectives
This article has helped me to explore my desire to help develop communities. It is the start of my journey to explore the use of revenue from land for development.
