What is it about?

Rheumatoid arthritis rarely develops from major joints. This is also reflected in ACR / EULAR classification criteria. I experienced a case in which it developed in the large joint, delayed diagnosis and treatment initiation, and rapid progress of hip joint destruction with acetabular dysplasia.

Why is it important?

When rheumatoid arthritis develops in a morphologically abnormal hip joint such as acetabular dysplasia, joint destruction may proceed rapidly even in early onset.

Perspectives

I hope that this article will be useful for the diagnosis and aggressive treatment of early rheumatoid arthritis with major joints.
