What is it about?

This paper is about how water hyacinth invasion of River Tano and Abby-Tano Lagoon affects the livelihood of fishermen and fish traders in the Western Region of Ghana.

Why is it important?

Our findings show that water hyacinth invasion reduces the incomes of fishermen and fish traders hence measures need to be put in place to invest in the establishment of fish farms in both water bodies to ensure all year-round production of fish devoid of the water hyacinth menace.

Perspectives

Writing this paper has further deepened by experience in the field of publication, especially in working with my co-authors.
