What is it about?

In addition to osteoinductivity and osteoconductivity, hydroxyapatite nanoparticles can modulate and improve skin cells. The present study proposed that electrospun cellulose acetate/gelatin/hydroxyapatite nanocomposite mats are able to enhance skin cells and epithelialization.

Why is it important?

A proper wound dressing can effectively promot wound healing process. The wound dressing should be able to absorb the wound exudate, allow oxygen exchange, and prevent form microorganism penetration. The bioactive agents have critical rooles in enhancing wound healing process. hydroxyapatite nanoparticles cpuld properly improve the healing process.

Perspectives

The promising results of the present study indicate that electrospun cellulose acetate/gelatin/hydroxyapatite nanocomposite mats can meet the market needs.
