What is it about?
It is a study protocol of constraint induced movement therapy (CIMT) that compares the use of number of repetitions with the use of number of hours of shaping/ task practice in the protocol of CIMT.

Why is it important?
It is important because when number of repetition is used, it is possible to know how many times it should be carried for motor recovery. In contrast, when hours are used it is difficult to know how much was done. Consequently, more resources may be required for the latter protocol
Perspectives
The publication is important because it seems to be the first randomized controlled trial (RCT) comparing the use of number of repetitions with number of hours in CIMT protocol. Therefore, it has the potential of provoking scientific debate and consequently more studies and better understanding of mechanism of recovery following stroke.
