What is it about?

Results of the study indicate that each database has a strength of coverage in various areas. While LISTA has the widest range of subject coverage, ISTA has greater strength of coverage of technology-related topics, and LLISFT has greater strength of coverage in more traditional library-related topics.

Why is it important?

Since libraries must judiciously allocate finite resources such as funding, understanding the features and coverage of related databases is important in informing decisions concerning the acquisition of online resources appropriate to individual libraries or institutions.
