What is it about?
Es and Selbst are German terms adopted respectively by analysts Georg Groddeck and Carl Gustav Jung to mean the totality of the human being. This research shows the closeness of the concepts of Es (in English: It) and Selbst (in English: Self) due to their common cultural background. Consequently, several similarities between Groddeck's and Jung's theories have been found.
