Why is it important?
Site location exercises are very useful activities for geography courses for they give students a chance to practice spatial thinking, and see the sort of tasks that geographers perform in the real world. Students learn better when the topic relates to their own lives, and asking students to think about the accessibility of college campuses should resonate with them.
