To date, no other study has accounted for the development of TV music practice in Nigeria. This article does so and in a very detailed manner. It discusses the history as well as those factors that shaped (and continually shape) industry behaviour and content. It’s a unique publication for both scholars and practitioners who desire to understand TV and TV music practice from an African perspective.
