This can pose an opportunity to utilise figure and ground to the design and the designer in ways that addresses their perceived visibility. We examine the value that white space in graphic design holds which provides a metaphor for the strength some women find in choosing invisibility. This essay explores [in]visibility and reveals insights into the constant interplay of where Australian women in particular decide to focus between their personal identities or the work they create.
