What is it about?
This paper examines how voters make decisions to support political leaders. It focuses on voters' political conversation networks: the people they talk to about politics. The argument is that voters' conversation networks shape their evaluations of politicians by providing information and different interpretations of candidates' performance in office. An analysis of citizens in Brazil suggest that voters conversation networks do, in fact, shape their opinions of political candidates.
