What is it about?
Gain enhancement of a particular band of a dual-band antenna presented in this article. The radiation pattern of lower band is unaffected. The gain in the upper band also quite good.

Why is it important?
Without affecting the upper band lower band gain is enhanced. Metamaterial embedded in the antenna also does not change the pattern in the lower band but the gain is enhanced.
