What is it about?
The paper give a consistent interpretation of the local structural setting in the framework of the tectonics of the Dolomites. The accurate mapping of thin lithological units at large scale allowed to recognize folding and dislocations that remained unidentified in previous works.

Why is it important?
The investigated area lies within the the worldwide-famous Dolomites region, which since 2009 has been included in the World Heritage List.
Perspectives
The map is an outcome of the fieldwork performed over the last ten years during the Geological Mapping course of the Bachelor degree in ‘Geological Sciences’ at University of Padova. This work shows the importance of the direct field surveying, especially when learning of the students is involved.
