This study fills a gap in the literature in that there is little published from the perspective of care recipients of short-term humanitarian medical relief efforts.
Perspectives
This study shows there is some value in meeting health care-related needs in short-term settings, and that recipients are comfortable with student participation if overseen by a licenced physician supervisor
