Why is it important?

The experience of flow is vitally important in understanding the nature of what makes experiences so enjoyable. However, not all results have been consistent with the primary assumptions of flow theory. This article attempts to shed light on why, and seeks to extend flow theory by discussing the relevance of moderate challenging activities in relation to optimal experiences.
