What is it about?
This article explains how players' international transfer fees and ages supported to determine their playing cycles. We used data from two decades with the product life cycle concept to understand its impacts on players career trajectory. Players' football development started from their domestic level through to an international level where their transfer fees increased. This helped to develop the African footballers’ ‘Careers’ Path Model Dynamics (CPMD)’ of professional players. The article provides information for clubs, managers, officials and other stakeholders on the recruiting new players and how they can reduce cost and improve their finances.
