What is it about?

The article is about how parenting affects children's self-regulation and how children's self-regulation also affects parenting. We often focus solely on how parenting behaviors influence children; it is less common to consider how children's behaviors also affect parents in the moment and over time. Our article explores how parents and children reciprocally affect one another during the earliest years using nationally representative data from the UK.
