What is it about?

Since theatre is important for our selves, researches must have a simple tool for analyzing this importance — specially when the activity constitutes a serious leisure experience.

Why is it important?

There are several contributions about the relevance of theatre for people's lives. But explanations of how to approach the relationship between theatre (as serious leisure) and the self are scarce.

Perspectives

Due to my "hybrid" condition of —social, Jungian— psychologist and theatrical performer (even as a professional, some years ago), writing this article, in a sense, has been a personal challenge. Also a honor, not only for co-authoring it with my colleague Nuria Codina (former supervisor of my doctoral dissertation), but also for integrating the Serious Leisure Perspective as a theoretical tool for putting into manifest how relevant can be the leisure experience in our lives!
