What is it about?
This article presents a case study carried out in Israel in an attempt to examine non-formal education policies regarding recreational and leisure activities for young people with disabilities. The findings indicate that officials recognize the need and the contribution of recreational activities for youths with disabilities. We note the disparity between participants' understanding of the needs, on the one hand, and the currently limited options for leisure for youths with disabilities, on the other hand.

Why is it important?
This study highlights the conspicuous absence of regulations regarding the implementation of the Equal Rights Act regarding leisure opportunities for youths with disabilities and the resulting consequences.
Perspectives
Leisure time of people with disabilities is not a common issue to look at. During this research, I have found that most of the activities have been operated thanks to thanks to officials who care and have to do a lot of hard work for maintaining them. I have learned, as well, that the leisure time is so important for the children I met and their parents.
