Why is it important?
Neurofeedback is a person-led brain training process that allows an individual to receive post-trauma treatment that does not require them to re-tell and re-live their trauma experience. Our case studies provide detailed accounts of how participants find the treatment process. Results detail significant increases in positive psychological well-being, and in most cases, reduced stress symptoms. The study outcomes inform future research and clinical applications designed to increase the well-being of individuals who have suffered trauma.
