Researchers and writers can use the myriad creative techniques used by Creative Writers in order to do research, write arguments. Using examples from JM Coetzee and my own students I show how this can be done.

It has been liberating to discover that Creative Writing methodologies provide alternate ways to do research and to open up a rigid academic discourse to possibilities the include the subject in the investigation.
