What is it about?
The aim of this research is highlight the outstanding role played by merchants from the French Basque Country and Bearn, in the South Western France, settled down in the Spanish Basque Country, from where they managed their international and global commercial networks.

This research claims the essential contribution of the Basque Country, Spanish and French, in the first globalization.
Perspectives
I hope this research would encourage other scholars to deepen into transnational commercial history, as a part of the Global history, not only from the perspective of great Estates and Nations, but also from the small countries and cultures.
