Why is it important?
By better understanding the historical patterns of research on quality we increase our possibility to interpret present developments as well as future trajectories.
Perspectives
A draft of this paper was presented at the 2018 QMOD conference in Wales. The amount of positive feedback encourages us to develop the manuscript further. With the constructive comments received through the peer review process I am very glad to find that the final version really presents new, relevant and thoughtworthy perspectives on the evolutionary road of research on quality.
