What is it about?

The papers aims to explore the differences between terms within the operational improvement literature to build understanding of the similarities and distinctions between the different terminology and also explore how the use of these terms overlaps. The work also draws from organizational learning theory to integrate these three terms and builds a conceptual model to formalize how these different terms relate to the different forms of operational improvement we are aiming to achieve, presenting a number of testable propositions.
