What is it about?

For the first time in Italy, a survey on the living of families facing premature births was carried out all over the Country, throughout a collection of narratives, in order to: - understand the families’ living and perceptions on the management and organization of pathway of care for premature birth; - understand the real impact of the cares for premature birth on parents’ family, social and working life; - identify from the expressed needs and expectations useful recommendations to improve the services of care. The project has been carried out using Narrative Medicine approach, which gives clinicians fresh methods with which to make contact with patients and to come to understand their points of view, improving relationships and services of care for families.
