Why is it important?

This work provides insights that, substituting available generic chemotherapeutic drugs can bring a potential cost savings, reducing out of pocket expenditure and can make every patient to adhere to medications without restriction of economic crisis. Thus will help healthcare professionals to take informed decisions while treating patients with Breast Cancer. It also serves as a reckoner for policy makers to take policy decisions for public spending.

Perspectives

As an individual involved in Health economics research I always believed that researchers should be able to contribute to the cause of society. These is always dearth of evidence form Indian context. This is one such opportunity for me to generate evidence for the benefit healthcare professionals to act upon. I hope this work also help policy makers to spend tax payers money wisely.
